Driving on oil life 0%?

If you've let some time pass since your last oil change and your indicator is shouting 0% at you, there may be casue for worry. But then again, it could mean that you still hace plenty of time. So how do you tell? An oil life on 0% doesn’t always mean it’s time for an oil change. Manufacturers often design the oil light to alert the driver that it’s time for an oil change well before it’s actually needed - and for good reason. Much like how the E on your fuel gauge is often reached before your car is actually out of gas, the oil light’s 0% is intended to alert early so that the driver has time to get the job done. But, the question remains, how long after oil life 0% is too long?
